 John,

GREAT JOB WITH THE WEB SITE!!!!! I hope the KDRRC "ON TARGET 2000" web award is your first of many. I will get it out to you today. Congratulations! I added you to our Leadership Team mailing list and sent you an email I received from our Director of Info - Armed Forces, MSG Hodges. He points out that the KSM is the correct award based on what we are doing in Korea. It has always been my preference, but went with the AFEM because it is the medal previously awarded and fought for by the VFW and others for years. I know you agree. I am waiting to get comments from the other directors. I think we should push for this instead of the AFEM. YOUR VOTE COUNTS IN THIS. I still consider you the Dir. of SoPac Region as you are doing the work without the visible recognition. You have been a great help and support. I will link to your web site and mention it in the newsletter. Also, can we get a link from your VFW site? Thanks, John.

On Target 2000 Web Site Award, Registration No. CC012

Dear John Maclean,

Congratulations! The Korea Deployment Respect and Recognition Committee is pleased to award your web site, Cavalry Country, with the KDRRC "On Target 2000" web award.

Your immediate attention and support to our mission of having service medal and full combat recognition authorized for service in defense of the Republic of Korea for all U.S. Armed Forces members is most appreciated. Your new web site will be instrumental in providing visibility to our web site in our task of building a support base to achieve our hard earned and much deserved respect and recognition. One would not expect anything less from a Veteran so dedicated to Division history, its Troopers, and the mission of the KDRRC. Keep up the great work for our Veterans and active Armed Services personnel everywhere. You will make a difference.

Your Award graphic is attached to this notification letter. Please add it to your Awards page with pride. Thank you.

Norm Tredway

Dear John Maclean,

Your web site has been reviewed by our Web Awards Committee at the request of one of your fellow Korea Veterans, Norm Tredway, of the KDVA. We are pleased to present you with the American's For Our Troops, WE CARE award. We honor you for your dedication to have America's Armed Forces stationed in South Korea awarded the honor and recognition much deserved.

American's For Our Troops is an organization dedicated to providing home support to our Armed Forces stationed anywhere in the world on missions to make our country and our world safer, and to bring freedom and self determination to those currently suffering at the hands of tyrants. We began as an Army wives support group for Desert Shield and Desert Storm, but have now extended our reach to include soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines from every era. We wish you well in your deserved endeavor.

Sincerely Yours,

JoAnn Carley-Bridgeman
Web Awards Committee

Thank You For The Work You And Your Group Have Done!

August 10, 200020 Re: Silver Star Supporter Web Site Award, Registration No. 100800CC

Dear John Maclean,

Congratulations! The Korea Defense Veterans Alliance is pleased to present you with our Silver Star Supporter web site award. This award is presented to those organizations and individuals that support the KDVA in at least three different capacities to include web site and other means.

Your valuable support to our mission of having service medal and full combat recognition authorized for service in defense of the Republic of Korea from 28 July 1954 - Present for all U.S. Armed Forces members is most appreciated. Your web site link with KDVA articles and current newsletter as well as the work with your VFW District and Post on our behalf, and petition signature solicitation is exceptional and should be recognized for all to see and share.

As I am sure you know, in spite of the 3 year celebration commemorating the Korean War, only a fragile cease-fire exists. North Korea has breached the cease-fire agreement more than 40,479 times causing a casualty count of at least 3,000. American Armed Forces have incurred nearly 100 deaths, 235 wounds and 87 captured and held prisoner. These are the official counts and we know they are very understated. Our U.S. armed service members have stood face to face with the enemy for 46 years without recognition by our government. THIS, WE INTEND TO CHANGE!

Your Award graphic is attached to this notification letter. It is a .jpg file. Please add it to your Web page with pride. Please confirm your receipt of this award at your earliest convenience by using the "reply" function of your email application. Keep up the great work for our Veterans and Armed Services personnel wherever they are deployed defending the freedoms we share and cherish because of their sacrifices.

Norm Tredway
KDVA National Chairman

Again, Thank You Norm - We all have to do our part as we see it!
